Just saw "Catch me if you can". Good flick, better than most drama's I've seen in a while. Leonardo Dicaprio is actually learning how to act. Almost gave Tom Hanks a "run" for his money. Hah hah hah. Seriously though, go see it. That's all I have to say.

Why do companies have to be so stupid. My company makes its sole decisions on the basis of ROI.
Ie. They piss their employees off to the point where most of them want to quit.
Do they decide to give their employees more perks and benefits to make them want to stay? Nope.
They instead drop profit sharing. And make is so most people achieve only 70% of their quota. There thinking is that if the employee is pissed enough they'll leave, but they probably won't because every company is laying off employees. But our company has made more money than any other company in the passed 2 years. They figure if you do quit, they'll replace you with someone who will take the job for less, which will offset the training costs.
But this is stupid because they are losing the best employees of their company, people who have contributed millions of dollars in revenue to the company and could easily continue to do so. These guys will end up working for their competitors and Dell will end up like every other stupid corporation. Bloated with a bunch of stupid employees instead of stupid managers.
Dell used to be #32 in the top 100 companies to work for last year. They didn't even make the list this year. Dell may have had a banner year profit wise and market share wise, but they won't this year. Just my prediction. I've seen it all before. The minute a company decides to not treat its employees well, it starts moving downhill.
Whew. That's all I have to say about that.
